The Germinators Incubation Program is designed to support people who want to create an Ecoversity. Applications are open until the 10th of August 2026. We are looking to support up to 12 germinated projects. What the incubation program offers:
1. Mentoring and coaching support.
2. A financial grant between US$300 – US$1500.
Whit this call we are hoping to understand the seed of your idea. We are looking for early-stage programs, “proto-versities” rooted in regeneration, localization, and experiential learning. If your idea is selected, we will invite you to receive support in designing your specific prototype.
In the Ecoversities Alliance, we refer to Ecoversities as innovative (un)learning initiatives rooted in regeneration, localization, gift culture and reciprocity. The Ecoversities Alliance puts in the center experiential, place-based, decolonizing, and co-creative modes of knowledge creation and more than human centric wisdom sharing that help (un)learners, communities and ecologies thrive.
The primary purpose of Ecoversities is to nourish the field for a new generation of local (un)learning leaders to work on the challenges facing their communities and develop new models of harmonious living with their earth-siblings and the planet.
Your proto-versity could need help with:
Creating local capacities for communities to learn, care and regenerate together.
Further clarifying your (un)learning orientation as to what kind of (un)learning your initiative enables.
Implementing your first experiment to test, nourish, or refine your vision.
