Turtle Telling is a 2-month communications fellowship for learners and people who are interested in cultivating the communication ecology of their ecoversities, networks and the alliance. It is a relational container for co-learning and co-creation of multimedia, speculative fabulations, newsletters, pedagogies, patchworks, campaigns, mandalas, seed bags, harvests, and story-maps to help us orient, connect and weave community with the regions of Ecoversities and their specific needs. A space where stories from Ecoversities are shared, with each region’s perspective and voice brought to life through multimedia creations and multispecies worldbuilding.
Each cohort is aimed and composed by 11 Ecoversities storytellers, communicators, media artists, researchers, and weavers eager to learn various tools for relational communication, research, community weaving, earth pedagogies, language justice, and multimedia creation.
Similar to a migratory sea turtle, it cycles regional cohorts in periods of 2 months (Afrika → Asia → Europe → Latin America → Turtle Island → Pacific) carrying stories and medicines from all around the world. The Afrika Cohort started in June and is still ongoing.
