We are living in unprecedented times. Our global situation reveals the fragility of our world and it also reveals the power of our interconnectedness, interdependence and interbeing as a human species. As the systems and structures we live and operate in shift and strain we are being called to take better care of ourselves, each other and this place called home.
We decided to answer this call and respond to this crucible moment with Hedge School – a home school that taps into a universal need for connection, belonging and hope.
As restrictions in social and physical connection were enforced we radically revived the Irish Hedge School movement as a place of shelter for people to gather and reflect on the important questions facing us today as ancestors-in-training.
Hedge School is now a global learning community where people around the world can find, share and generate connection, culture, ideas, practices, resources, wellbeing and meaning making for our emerging future.
