Gangotri Pada Yatra - Gangotri to Gaumukh
A collective walking journey to the source of river Ganga in the Himalayas, and a quest for self discovery.
17-22 September, 2024.
Gangotri Pada Yatra is a collective journey of self discovery and inner transformation, following the ancient practice of sacred walking pilgrimage to the site of river Ganga’s emergence from the Gangotri glacier at Gaumukh. The yatra provides opportunities for deep reflection, inner stillness and personal transformation. Led by expert facilitators, the yatra offers meditative spaces, sessions on self awareness and traditional wisdom, mindfulness practices, sharing circles and fun bonfire nights.
As we undertake a collective journey of adventure through the breathtaking beauty of the Himalayan landscape, we also begin to embark on our own inner journeys to living a life of freedom and purpose.
Ganga Pada Yatra - Rishikesh to Devprayag
29 March – 3 April, 2024
Join us for an expedition along the river Ganga in Himalayas – as we walk upstream along the river from Rishikesh, which is the gateway into the Himalayas, to Devprayag, where the river is formed from the confluence of its two tributaries, Bhagirathi and Alaknanda.
The ancient walking route to Devprayag from Rishikesh is an unpaved mountain route along the river, that passes through forests and valleys, mountain streams and quaint remote hill villages.
The total distance of the yatra would be around 85 kms, traversed over six days. The journey would be undertaken in an expedition style, with accommodation in tented camps, and sometimes in ashrams.
For millennia, pilgrims and seekers have journeyed along this route, often undergoing deep personal transformation in the process. Let’s embark on a similar expedition – one of mindfulness and self awareness, with sharing circles and facilitated sessions, life lessons, reflections and meditations on the banks the river.
